I completed my education at high school in 1986, and then I started to study Biology in Warsaw University. In 29 October 1991 I passed my master thesis by molecular genetics. Since November 1991 till September 2001 I worked on Department of Plant Systematics and Geography of Warsaw University. Since September 1994 I worked concurrently in interdisciplinary Center for Complex System in Institute for Social Study of Warsaw University, but since November 2001 ISS is my main job. My doctoral dissertation concern application of computer morphometry of leafs to the taxonomy of Prunus spinosa (blackthorn/sloe). It was defended in 1 November 2001 r. I have long and intensive experience in programming, not only on simulations. Other applications of computers in biology and other science are also in the scope of my interest, particularly a numerical taxonomy, an automatic acquisition of biometric data (I wrote my own program for measuring scanned leaf silhouettes) and even natural language acquisition by computer.

I am interested in theory of biological and cultural evolution (also memetics), complex systems and related subjects in biology, social science and linguistic.

Currently my most important job and method are computer simulations - I use C++, Java, Delphi, other Pascal compilers.
